The Serpent Road is old: it has existed for centuries, since the times of the Templars, who ruled here in the 14th century. The pavement was probably laid here in the 19th century. Its name comes from the fact that it winds like a snake through the beautiful Barlinek forests.

If it weren't for the information board placed here, you could easily miss this place. These are the ruins of inns that operated here until 1945. This is all that remains of this famous forest inn, which was a favorite place for walkers to stop, as Barlinek is and has been a bathing resort for many years: this inn had many guests.

A wonderful view from the shore of Lake Barlineckie towards Barlinek on the northern side of the lake. In addition, it is also a place for a picnic: a table and benches, so you can easily stop here and give your legs a rest.
