A mountain river that rises in the Sierra del Mongayo and flows south until it joins the Esla River. It forms part of the Duero River basin. It traverses varied landscapes with lush riparian vegetation. Near the indicated point, the surroundings are peaceful and natural, ideal for relaxing or strolling. It is advisable to check access if you are cycling: not all sections are suitable. Bring water and basic equipment.

A Cistercian monastery founded in 1167 by Ponce de Minerva and Estefanía Ramírez. An example of the transition from Romanesque to Gothic, with a 12th-century church and later additions. Abandoned after the 19th-century confiscation of church property, it now blends ruined areas with preserved elements. The capitals of the western portal depict a monk writing, a cook, and a gatekeeper. This unusual sculpture reflects scenes of daily life in the monastery, beyond religious symbolism. It is listed on the Red List of Endangered Heritage. It is advisable to bring water and some food.

It offers one of the most expansive views of the valley and the city. From here, you can make out the cathedral towers, the winding Bernesga River, and, on clear days, the mountains in the distance. It was a former lookout point during the Spanish Civil War, and remnants of trenches still lie hidden among the grass. Today, it's a perfect spot to watch the sunset and feel the light slowly fade over the Leonese landscape.

Las Lomas offers some of the best panoramic views of León. From the viewpoints located in this area, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings.

La Candamia Park is a beautiful green space located on the outskirts of León, next to the Torío River. This park covers approximately 400,000 m² and is ideal for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, and sports.

Once you, as a pilgrim, have reached the major intermediate destination of LEON, it makes sense to spend a whole day there. A stroll through the park could be a good addition to the day's program.
