An interesting lighthouse on the Pomeranian Bay, beautifully situated among trees. It turns out that it was once an observation tower, which was converted into a lighthouse in 1962 – quite unusual!

Good parking space for a walk through the Wolinski National Park to the cliffs or to the beautiful and uncrowded sandy beach.

Because the nearest parking lot is a bit far away and there is no town nearby, you can enjoy peace and quiet on this beautiful beach.

Who was Dr. Stefan Jarosz? He was a Polish traveler, geographer, and nature conservationist. He trained as a forester and geographer and defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Geographical and Forestry Research in the Gorce Mountains" in 1932. All of his activities were closely connected to the mountains. In the 1940s, he worked as a forester in the Polish Tatra Mountains and crossed Zamarła Turnia, the Żabi Koń Wall, and the northwestern face of Świnica. The obelisk reads: "Strictly Protected Area, named after Dr. Stefan Jarosz, a prominent nature conservation activist 1903–1958." This is the name of one of six protected areas in Wolin National Park. The current name is the Dr. Stefan Jarosz Protected Area, and the area is 92.06 hectares.

It was unbelievable how empty the stretch was. The sea is shallow and ideal for swimming with small children.

Unfortunately, during my visit (Whitsun 2025), access to the viewing platform was permanently closed. I assume this is for nature conservation purposes.
