Even after its renovation, the historic brewhouse tower is a monument to the glory days of the former BILGER brewery. Due to its height and characteristic roof shape, the Sudturm is an integral part of Gottmadingen's silhouette. The distinctive design together with the historic industrial windows makes the building a special rarity. The former brewery was spared from the demolition of the Bilger brewery in 1995. This separation of the old industrial facilities also sealed the break with the past and defined a completely new path for the future. The way from the “Brauhaus” to the “Sudturm”.
