Wikipedia info: This is the oldest half-timbered building in Bytów Kashubia. It is characterized by a white structure and black beams decorating the walls. The church was built in 1823 thanks to funds from the Puttkamer family, from which Otto von Bismarck's wife, Joanna, came from. The couple married here. On December 6, 2001, the choir and roof of the church were destroyed by fire. The rebuilt church features marble statues and a sculpture of Christ made from an 800-year-old olive tree from Sicily. The sculptures were donated by an Italian artist who became fascinated with the place during a visit to his friend, Czesław Lang.

Czesław Lang is a figure who needs little introduction in the cycling world. He was born in Kołczygłowy. A local school is named after him, and a monument commemorates his achievements.
