Salto del Usero is a beautiful natural space located in the municipality of Bullas, in the Region of Murcia. This place is known for its impressive waterfall that falls through a limestone rock, forming an open dome and a pool of turquoise water. To get to Salto del Usero, you need to take a short walk of approximately 1.5 km from the parking lot. During the high season, such as summer and holidays, it is necessary to make a reservation in advance to limit capacity and preserve the environment. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature, go hiking and, during times of less affluence, enjoy a swim in its fresh waters. 😊

Coming from Bullas, you first cross the superb viaduct, then comes the old station and after that the first tunnel. The info panel is currently intact and useful for distances & altitudes.

It is an impressive viaduct over the Mula River built to facilitate the passage of the train that would connect Caravaca and Murcia. It is over 21 meters high and 151 meters long. Ideal for obtaining the best panoramic views. It is worth a little stop.

Located in the municipality of Pliego, the Poblado de la Almoyola is an archaeological site of great importance. La Almoloya is an archaeological site belonging to the Argaric Culture. The site is known to have been occupied between 2200 and 1550 BC. and discovered in 1944. The discoveries have allowed us to conclude that La Almoloya was a political and administrative center of the territory of El Argar.

It is a charming hermitage with the child Jesus, highly revered among Muleños and Murcians. According to legend, in this same place God the Child appeared to a shepherd in the year 1648. As a result of the apparition, the shepherd, named Pedro Botía, decided to join the Franciscan order.

Definitely worth the 1.6Km detour if you are on the Via Verde Bullas to Caravaca. Bit of a short steep climb coming out but very tranquil and beautiful. I was lucky to be there after rain.
