This small town is located in the valley below the Sierra del Brezo, making it a perfect place to start an adventure. It is also not far from Cervera de Pisuerga and Guardo.

PP-2223 road with little traffic between Dehesa de Montejo and Olmos de Ojeda. The asphalt is in perfect condition, a real pleasure to pedal here.

The next town is Vallespinoso de Aguilar. The hermitage of Santa Cecilia, immediately standing out on a castle hill, is dated to the 12th century and was declared a historical-artistic monument in 1951. The portico has well-carved capitals and the location conveys the atmosphere of a fortress sanctuary.

Herrera de Pisuerga is a city with an outstanding history. From the Roman settlement of Pisoraca to the Visigothic occupation, its past is present in the necropolis and the archaeological remains. In the Middle Ages, it became a walled town with gates and a parish church dedicated to Santa Ana. The old town has a Plaza Mayor with arcades and emblazoned buildings.

Temple built at the end of the 12th century and beginning of the 13th, it is located on a beautiful hillock, on the outskirts of Barrio de Santa María, near the Aguilar de Campoo reservoir.

The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Brezo, located on the Palencia Mountain, is a temple of great devotion and the scene of a popular pilgrimage. At an altitude of 1,400 m, in the Sierra del Brezo, the sanctuary houses the Romanesque carving of the Virgin of Brezo. Built in the 13th century and renovated in the 18th century, the sanctuary has a church, chapel and guest house, and offers peace and natural beauty to its visitors.
