It is worth stopping here and admiring this beautiful church. Building built at the beginning of the XI century. It consists of three naves covered with a barrel vault, divided into four sections, and topped with a central base and two semicircular apse. In the 15th-16th centuries, the false transept was built, with two side chapels covered with a pointed vault. Some later additions, including a garage attached to the north wall, were removed in the restoration carried out in 1981. The exterior ornamentation is of primitive Lombard type, with the characteristic arches and pilasters and some unusual blind arches in the central apse. The door was restored to its original location in 1981, without historicist pretensions. The church was built on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, from which some materials were used, including the ceramic pieces that can be seen on the north wall and in the windows of the apses.
