Pico Tuerto is a mountain located in the Montes Aquilianos, in the Bierzo region, offering spectacular views of the region, including Peñalba de Santiago and Ponferrada. It is a popular hiking destination, and one of the most popular routes begins at the Los Portillinos mountain pass. The "iron cross" here on Monte Irago, which is legendary for many pilgrims on the Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostela to the grave of the Apostle James the Greater, has since been replaced by a copy at the original location.
