The bishop, seeing this phenomenon, regretted his position, but died shortly after, and his successor did not take long to reverse the situation and lift the excommunication.

This lock, built in stone and cement, forms a retaining wall that diverts the waters of the Llobregat River to lead them towards the industrial canal that fed the turbine of the Cal Rosal factory. The lock was built in 1859, a work directed by the engineer Josep Maria Folch Brosa. The infrastructure was restored, expanded and improved in the 19th and 20th centuries.
