A curious place where the collapse of the side cliffs, as a consequence of the Lisbon earthquake, closed the Tagus River for several days, interrupting the flow of water. Today, there are still a large number of huge rocks at the bottom of the Tagus. It is worth visiting.

At the top of the cliff of the Tajo River Canyon, you can see an extraordinary landscape, from the Strait of La Tormellera, which is considered the Gateway to the Alto Tajo, passing through El Hundido de Armallones, to the area of Las Carquiñas, all the majesty of the Tajo River. While you are on the Pico del Alar, you will be accompanied by vultures flying around you.

One of the most impressive enclaves in the Alto Tajo protected area. In this place, the force of the Tagus River is revealed, which has eroded for thousands of years a deep canyon with vertical walls in which numerous birds nest.

Road that passes through the ZEPA of the Alto Tajo and that reaches the town of Sacecorbo. Road that goes up and down with incredible landscapes!

The small town of Arbeteta is located within the Alto Tajo Protected Zone and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape in which the Barranco los Conejeros stands out.

The Alto Tajo protected area is a place with little crowds but of great scenic value. A clear example is the Hundido de Armallones area, surrounded by an impressive landscape that also offers some natural pools on the Tagus riverbed. They are ideal for cooling off in the summer months. It can be accessed from the west bank, although the views from this side are equally wonderful.
