Hérmedes de Cerrato is one of many small towns that has seen its population decline in the last 50 to 70 years. At one time it had a population of over 700 but has now been reduced to around 70. This does not make it any less interesting to visit. It has a charming little church, the Ermita de la Virgen de la Era and is surrounded by hills and fields.

Here you will find a small town surrounded by agricultural fields. Just outside the city, there is a monument to the pilots of Spain. It is a real retired military aircraft. In the other direction you will find a monument to cyclist Lance Armstrong.

This site was in ruins until 2007 when it was rebuilt. Its origins date back to the 10th century.

Here you will find a small and charming town surrounded by fields and forests. While you are here, visit the Church of Our Lady of Peace which dates back to the 12th century.

This town dates back to pre-Roman times and it seems that not much has changed here in many years. The Baltanás Wineries are the most popular site in the city but the church of San Millán, the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Revilla and the Hermitage of San Gregorio are also important places to visit.

Here there are 374 traditional underground wineries and they stand out as the main attraction of the town of Baltanás. They are registered as Assets of Cultural Interest.

The town is located at the foot of the open and wide valley. The area is steeped in history, including artifacts from the Bronze Age and a Roman villa, dating back to between the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. Surrounded by beautiful fields and pretty trails, it's a fun place to visit by bike.

Abandoned plaster mines, there is no "problem" in entering and what if I advise taking a flashlight.
