The seemingly endless bridge to the ferries to Norway and Sweden spans the harbor. It also overlooks the grounds of the Modern American Recycling Services Europe (M.A.R.S.) shipyard, one of Europe's largest shipbreaking yards, dismantling 60,000-200,000 tons of ship capacity annually under European environmental standards and providing 159-200 jobs. Two large Tyra platforms were also dismantled here.

Directly behind the dunes is a large sports field where you can play beach volleyball. Since 1987, the Jutland Beach Badminton Championship, a very popular event in Denmark, has been held here as part of a major cultural and sports festival held around the summer solstice. The championship takes place in any wind speed, which gives it its special appeal. The winner of 2025, in a thrilling match in force 5 winds, was the famous and popular Olympic star Ele, who trains here at the Sonnercamp. Directly on the palm-lined beach, just 50 meters from the beach house, the old anti-aircraft emplacement is hidden in the dunes. It once housed an exhibition, which can now be found in the Bangsbo Bunker Museum.
