Beautiful area at the foot of the Tenes River where different mills appear along the riverbed. There are also weevils such as the Black Weevil or the Blue Weevil.

The road from Sant Feliu de Codines to Sant Miquel del Fai, coded as BV-1485, is the most modern access to this ancient priory, as previously it could only be accessed on foot via the traditional path that goes up from Riells or through La Foradada, access opened in 1592. The road was finished in 1974 and has a length of 7 kilometers, most of which goes back up the Sant Miquel valley to culminate by making a big turn to cross the Tenes before reaching Sant Miquel del Fai. The first documentary reference to the place is related to the church of Sant Martí del Fai and dates from the year 878, when it belonged to the Vallesan monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès. On the other hand, the first reference to the church of Sant Miquel is later, from the year 988, when the counts of Barcelona Ramon Borrell and Ermessenda donated the alodio del Fai to Gombau de Besora and his wife Guilla so they could build a monastery. The content of this donation seems to indicate that some type of cult already existed in this space, although it has not been possible to determine its typology. In 1042, Gombau ceded the monastery to Sant Víctor de Marseille, being the first Catalan monastery given to the Marseillaise abbey.
