Beautiful place, unfortunately no longer very heavily inhabited, but with a trattoria where you can sit very nicely and which has a magical outdoor area with a view of the newly renovated main square.

Semproniano is a beautiful little town with a great historic center, a lovely bar, 2 grocery stores, a butcher, 2 restaurants, a household goods store, a stationery store and a hardware store. Just as it used to be. We think it's magical. The people here are incredibly friendly.

Beautiful hiking trail, which is only used by local residents/farmers in exceptional cases, with great views of Roccalbegna, Monte Labbro, Santa Caterina, Petricci and Semproniano. Here you might come across a family of badgers or a wild boar. There are also porcupines and red kites here. We have seen them all ourselves. A true natural paradise.❣

Semproniano, located at the southern end of Mount Amiata, is known as the gateway to the volcano for those arriving from the south via the Aurelia. Its history has its roots in the ancient period, when it was a fiefdom of the Aldobrandeschi family before the year 1000. In the fourteenth century, it came under the dominion of Siena and subsequently, after a period under the control of the Spanish, it became part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Today, Semproniano is famous for its unique mix of historical traditions and natural beauty.
