There is always the solution to difficult points: doing them by road.

The railway crossed this port through a tunnel. When making the greenway, the original route was not recovered, so the arrival and departure of the port are two very steep slopes. Most panniers make them by pushing the bike.

Salas de los Infantes is the capital of the Sierra de la Demanda region and is located in the valley of the Arlanza river. The origin of the town dates back to the 10th century. Among its main attractions are the church of Santa María, church of Santa Cecilia, the palace of the Infantes de Lara and Plaza Mayor.

The climb up the road to what is called the Black Lagoon of Urbión is a tough climb but well worth it. When you arrive at the top, the views are beautiful and a few meters away you can reach (with the bike loaded on top) the Black Lagoon.

The medieval bridge of Soria is from the 17th century and gives us a postcard image, in addition to allowing us to cross the Duero River.

Riocavado de la Sierra is located at 1,180 meters above sea level on the southern slope of the port of Manquillo. The port of Manquillo divides the basins of the Arlanza and Arlanzón rivers, it is also in terms of Riocavado de la Sierra where the Arlanzón river is born.
