A viewpoint with an information panel to recognize what we are seeing, deserves a brief stop and of course a photograph

Start of the climb and emblematic point to go up to the Jarapalos fountain, you can park in this area and start the climb on foot (you can go up a little further by car to the entrance to the Tiro Pichón range but sometimes there are too many vehicles and it is difficult to park and maneuver).

A viewing point with excellent views where you can take good photos, especially on clear days. It is quite spacious and has an area where you can sit down and recharge your batteries.

End point of the Presidiarios Trail, which although it is relatively short (4 km) can be difficult due to the steep slopes and a very high gradient. At this point, at more than 800 m high, we can enjoy impressive views of the Sierra and the coast.

Starting point of the Sierra de Mijas trails - Sendero Presidiario and Jarapalos, which can be linked to other trails in the Sierra de Mijas (also with the Gran Senda de Málaga). There is a level to park the car, an information panel at the beginning of the route and trail signs.

Descent towards Jarapalos complicated for gravel, you can go down, but be careful.

The Jarapalos Arboretum is a botanical garden surrounded by nature that is located in the Sierra de Mijas, in the old Jarapalos Nursery. It belongs to the municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre. The nursery was created in the second half of the 20th century, where stone pine, Aleppo pine and resin pine were grown to reforest the mountains until the end of the 70s. In 2012, thanks to the Platform for the Defense and Health of the Sierra ( PDSS), the design and planting of the arboretum began.
