La Hiniesta was originally founded in the 12th century but later became famous for the construction of Santa María la Real, declared a historical-artistic monument.
In the Renaissance style, in the same architectural style as its main altarpiece, in which a Flemish panel from the 16th century is also interspersed. Inside is the carving of the Virgen del Castillo, patron saint of the town.
