There are a couple of rope climbs just before the summit, but they are not difficult at all. My 20kg dog climbed them up and down without any problems.

An interesting place for its history The Queralt sanctuary is located in the Queralt mountain range, at an altitude of about 1,200 metres.

Spectacular climb to one of the most demanding peaks in Catalonia. Long climb, with sustained percentages and reaching almost 2000 meters. It is characterized by long straights and a very twisty and spectacular final stretch. Road in perfect condition.

Nestled in the majestic Sierra de Queralt, the Sanctuary of Queralt is a place of spiritual tranquility and natural beauty. Located around 1,200 metres above sea level, this sanctuary combines centuries of history and faith. When you stand here, you are not only looking at an impressive architectural masterpiece located in the heart of Catalonia, but also at a witness to the times. The original sanctuary was built in the 14th century, and although the current church dates back to the 18th century, you can feel the centuries-old reverence and deep spirituality that surround this place. The view from up here is simply breathtaking. The panorama stretches far across the Catalan landscapes, and amidst this silence, you almost feel as if time has stood still. If you are looking for a place where history, faith and nature blend harmoniously, then the Sanctuary of Queralt is an absolute must on your hiking route through Catalonia.

I was very surprised to find the image of Our Lady of the Blue on this peak. Mainly known by the people of Lleida but, unknown by the majority, myself included. Legend has it that when the images that were to decorate the door of the Apostles were being sculpted, the master sculptor who directed the work had to go on a trip. With the intention that the works would not stop, the master sculptor entrusted one of his apprentices with the sculpture of the face of the Virgin Mary. When he returned from the trip, the master sculptor found a delicate face, perfectly sculpted and worthy of admiration that did not, however, generate any satisfaction or joy. It was rather the opposite. Envy quickly took hold of the master sculptor, who, unable to sculpt it some time ago, realized how an apprentice surpassed him in technique and skill. It was then that the master sculptor, full of anger, took a hammer and threw it at the face of the Virgin. Because of those things that happen, the hammer bounced miraculously, killed the master sculptor and the Virgin got a bruise on her forehead.

El Cap del Llitzet or Galina Pelada with a height of about 2,317 m. altitude, it is the highest peak of the Serra d'Ensija. Within the Berguedà region, Pedraforca and Serra del Cadí are neighbors to the north and Rasos de Peguera to the south. Despite being a mountain of moderate height, it has a very important landscape diversity and has a wide variety of routes to ascend. The most popular since the Cold Spring. The most interesting is perhaps the integral that, from the Barranc de les Llobateres, allows us to ascend to the main peaks of the Serra; Serrat Voltor, Creu de Ferro, Serrat del Pal, and the rest of the prominences of the Serra d'Ensija, until reaching Cap de Llitzet and back to Roca Blanca.

The gravel connection to the northern side has improved a lot. It's still very rough gravel. But rideable the whole way down on a road bike.
