Halfway point for a snack

This is a great place to start an adventure. The nature center is a former train station and here you will find maps and information about the area. There are also picnic tables, a bar, parking and a place to rent bicycles.

This beautiful stretch of road that runs next to the Tajuña riverbed is full of landscapes and surprises. Around here you can enjoy riding along the countryside, crossing beautiful bridges and getting to know some history.

Section of road that follows the Tajuña River and that comes from the direction of Pezuela de las Torres to Ambite. The road glides along the riverbank, in a beautiful space.

It is a quiet and pretty section. The pine trees give a lot of shade, perfect when it is very hot in summer.

This small town of about 600 inhabitants has a lot of history behind it. Its name probably comes from the Latin "ambitus" which indicated a fenced place. In the old station there is a perfect bar for a stop on the route.

In the municipality of Ambite there are: Palacio de Ambite: built in 1623 by the Marquises of Legarda, it is in a 17th-century baroque style. It is located on the outskirts of the town, next to a large thousand-year-old oak. Monument of the Eyes: built by Federico Díaz Falcón, it consists of three arches, crowned by a roof made of Arab tile. In the old station building there is a nice bar where you can quench your thirst and strengthen yourself. It used to be the train station for the town of Ambite, but today it is right on the Vía Verde del Tajuña. If you take a break here, a short detour to the town of Ambite is also worthwhile.
