It is located in the pasture of the same name, in the Zamora town of Muga de Sayago. Its construction dates back to the 13th century, although in subsequent centuries there were numerous alterations and modifications. The building stands out for the large expanse of mural painting preserved within the large set of paintings of a more or less popular nature that have been preserved in the southwest of Zamora, north of Salamanca and the Portuguese border area.

A large part of the local term was flooded by the waters of the Almendra reservoir, thus losing all the low-lying areas, the most fertile and picturesque. It is one of the largest dams in Europe. The height in its downtown area measures 193 meters and the total length is more than three kilometers.

Small rural town of the municipality and Spanish town of the province of Zamora. There are some parking spaces near the Plaza Mayor in front of the town hall. Water fountain and beach bars to eat after a long day on the bike.

Nice semi-paved section of the short-distance path (signposted with white and yellow markings) between rockroses, alders and olive trees, and at times in the shade until you reach a dovecote. This section brings us closer to the San Lorenzo bridge, which connects the provinces of Zamora and Salamanca.
