A mountain pass that connects Vitoria with the Alava mountains. It's not difficult, it's fairly flat, and the asphalt is good. The best part is the descents, which are not very technical. Lots of traffic.

Before reaching Iturrieta, a detour to the Hermitage of Santa Teodosia is highly recommended.

A 5 or 6 percent gradient. Smooth straights with good pavement, but heavy traffic. The descent to Ventas de Armentia is a treat.

The Church of Santa María de la Asunción is a parish church in the historic center of the municipality of Navarrete (La Rioja). The Renaissance-style church is located in the highest area of the town. One of the church's notable elements is the Baroque-style main altar. [2] The church has a three-aisled floor plan.

A stretch of road in very poor condition. Full of potholes and sinkholes, and also fast for cycling. Traffic is always a danger.

From here you can see the ruins of the Mantible bridge, probably medieval (not Roman) that once connected El Cortijo with Assa. Only two arches remain standing, one of them recently rebuilt as it collapsed during the pandemic.
