The Rufea Wetlands Observation Point is located in a wetland of ecological and social interest, near the Butsènit Hermitage in Lleida. This natural area offers an excellent opportunity to observe aquatic and migratory birds from an observation tower and specially equipped huts.

Following the Capell path you reach the Seròs canal gate towards the Utxesa reservoir. An ideal area for birdwatching.

Without being knowledgeable about the subject, at first glance it is a different hermitage in terms of its construction, similar to a hybrid between a church and a farmhouse, with its two arches and that porch at the entrance, which on the other hand offer shade to the traveler and a good place to stop to rest and get some fresh air, since shade as such is not abundant in the area, since the orography is beginning to be of the most arid type. It is a church declared a cultural site of local interest, although I do not have data regarding the date of construction and so on.

It is a viewpoint located next to the wetlands, in order to observe their fauna and flora. I imagine it is a good place for fans, especially of birds, to observe the different species that live there. There is an information post in the form of a "legend", with images and explanations about the different species, in order to identify them.

The Canal Industrial de Seròs is a canal that carries water and is full at almost all times of the year. The water reaches the Utxesa swamp.

The footbridge no longer exists

We are in the Utxesa reservoir, an idyllic place to contemplate the flora and fauna of the area from the viewpoints/observatories that will be indicated to us. It has an information booth where there are toilets, maps and in front of the booth, a picnic area to eat and rest.
