Located on a plain in Álava, south of the municipality, on the left bank of the Nervión River, Orduña is known for its impressive mountain scenery and Basque cultural heritage. If you stop by the town, I recommend visiting the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Ancient, and the walls of Tras Santiago.

The Nervión waterfall, with its 222 meter drop, is the highest waterfall in the Iberian Peninsula. This impressive waterfall is located in the natural monument of Monte Santiago, in the province of Álava. It is a seasonal waterfall, since it only drops water in the thaw season or in heavy rain.

This rocky peak is vertical on all its flanks, which makes it necessary to use leather straps during the ascent. It was first climbed in 1924 by Ángel Sopeña, precursor of climbing in the Basque Country. Its name comes from its resemblance to the figure of an abbot.

Located on a plain in Álava to the south of the municipality, on the left bank of the Nervión River, Orduña is known for its impressive mountainous landscape and its Basque cultural heritage. If you make a stop in the town, I recommend visiting the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Antigua and the walls of Tras Santiago.
