The Guadanuño Reservoir is located on the Guadanuño River bed forming part of the municipalities of Obejo, Córdoba and Villaviciosa de Córdoba, in the province of Córdoba.

Of the parish of San Antonio Abad, the tower stands out above all, which is reminiscent of similar constructions from the time of Al-Andalus. From the square there are very nice views of the countryside and the ruins of the castle of Ubal.

Although the castle of Ubal is currently in ruins and only some remains of the towers remain, it is known that it is probably a construction from the Muslim period. It can be seen more closely from the church of San Antonio Abad de Obejo.

From this point you can get a small panoramic view of the Guadanuño reservoir, located next to Estación de Obejo, a small population center belonging to Obejo. The dam is built on the river of the same name, which belongs to the Guadalquivir hydrographic basin.

It is better to ride on non-rainy days because it is quite slippery.

The non-existence of written sources prior to the Reconquest makes the origin of Obejo difficult to determine. Findings of tombs of uncertain origin have been verified in various sites relatively close to the current population center, which due to their characteristics and according to experts, could be Iberian remains, although Arab coins and, to a lesser extent, Romans have also been found.

This deposit is one of many in this area, where there was a lot of copper extraction. The complex has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest due to its high historical value.
