11월 2, 2025, Albarracín Historic Town
A very picturesque old town, dating back to the first millennium BC. Its eventful history is reflected in its cityscape. Until the mid-19th century, it was even a bishopric. Defense has always been of paramount importance to this town. To protect itself from attackers, the town was built on a hill and is thus surrounded by a naturally formed moat. This defensive function is still omnipresent today, evident in the oversized city walls. However, the town's growth apparently could not keep pace with the expansion of the city walls. Today, despite the picturesque townscape and the beautiful surroundings, the population has been declining for years.

9월 20, 2024, Portal de Molina, Albarracín
The Molina Gate is one of the main legacies of the medieval fortress-city of Albarracín. It is part of the walled enclosure built in the 11th century to protect the population living in the suburb, a neighbourhood that emerged on the outskirts of the founding urban centre. The current gate is the result of a reconstruction and fortification of the walls carried out between the 13th and 14th centuries. This reform gave it a much more defensive character, flanked by two large masonry towers and protected by a machicolation on the upper wall. From this gate the road that led to the Kingdom of Castile started and ended in the town of Molina de Aragón, from which it takes its name.

The Casa de la Julianeta is one of the most emblematic and photographed buildings in Albarracín. Located on the corner of Calle Portal de Molina and Calle Santiago, this house stands out for its peculiar architecture and triangular shape, adapted to the irregularity of the terrain. Built in the 14th century, the Casa de la Julianeta is an example of the modest houses in the region, with ground floors narrower than the upper floors, which gives it a unique appearance. Currently, the house is used as a residence-workshop for artists, although it is not open to the public.

Beautiful market square, which is asymmetrical due to its location. In this square stands the town hall, which was built in the 16th century by the French architect Quinto Pierres Vedel. The town hall is surrounded by beautiful houses. The Plaza Mayor is the gateway to the old town, where you can admire the most famous buildings such as the imposing cathedral in Gothic and Renaissance style.
