The Església Parroquial de l’Assumpció in Ares del Maestrat is a beautiful example of Baroque architecture. Built between 1717 and 1735, this church stands on the remains of an older Gothic-Romanesque church that was destroyed during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1707.
