Historic windmills that were used primarily for traditional salt production, but also in agriculture. In the Mar Menor region, especially in areas such as San Pedro del Pinatar, including Veniziola, there are several historic windmills. These windmills were mainly used for grinding grain and pumping water for irrigation and salt production. The windmills are an important part of the cultural heritage of the Mar Menor region. They are iconic structures that reflect the agricultural and industrial history of the region.

Beautiful, a real highlight, highly recommended. La Manga del Mar Menor is a unique and worth seeing strip of land in the Murcia region. It stretches for about 21 kilometers and acts as a natural barrier between the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, forming a special geographical feature with its beaches on both sides.

Great Chiringuito (bar / restaurant) off the RM 314 bike lane. It descends down to the beach nearby. It’s seasonal opening so check before going down. However, even if it’s closed, it’s a nice area with views over the bay and to Portman itself. There are other bars / restaurants down there, but I have never been to those.

Ideal place to disconnect in its coves or walk through the Calblanque Regional Park.

Cala Reona is a small beach located south of Cabo de Palos, in Cartagena, Murcia. It is ideal for snorkeling and diving, and in addition to a car park, there is a small seasonal bar.
