The Paeria Palace is one of Lleida's most emblematic buildings and the seat of the city council. Architectural style: Romanesque civil architecture, built in the 13th century. It is one of the few examples of non-religious Romanesque architecture in Catalonia. Façade: Notable for its sandstone and windows with semicircular arches. The Paeria Palace is the seat of the city administration and is located in the commercial axis. The word "paer" comes from the Latin "paciari", which means man of peace, and has its origins in the privilege granted by King James I in 1264. Schedule, Monday to Saturday: from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and holidays: from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Suda Castle was the as-sudda or citadel of the city. His remains, currently rehabilitated, are located on the La Seu Vella hill. The castle has its origins in a primitive fortified area built by the Arabs with Roman materials in the 9th century. Over time, it was transformed into a castle, palace and cathedral under the reign of Ramón Berenguer IV.

The Lérida City Council, also traditionally known as Paería de Lérida, is the first-level administration that governs the city and municipality of Lérida. Its headquarters are located in the Paeria Palace.
