The Adarve is a cobbled street about 400 meters long that encircles the Barrio de la Villa between the Castle and the Plaza de la Puerta del Sol, bordering a natural slope that ensured the defense of the city in times of siege

Currently difficult to access. Extensive construction work is already visible and gives an idea of a beautiful place.

The visitor center has exhibits on the Geopark's geology and fauna and flora.

A mandatory stop to admire the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park on the horizon. It has an information panel.

From Puente Fernández we can see the Genil River that feeds the Iznájar Reservoir and part of the old Molinillo bridge, which is covered when the water level is high.

Going down from Priego de Córdoba, from this point we have a perfect view of the municipality of Carcabuey and its castle located on a hill, watching over what is at its feet. The castle, also called the castle of Fuente Úbeda, is a Hispano-Muslim fortress from the 11th century.

Very close to the castle of Priego de Córdoba is one of the two viewpoints of this town (another one, Balcón del Adarve, is located a little further south). It is highly recommended to get lost among the narrow alleys to get here and enjoy these magnificent views.
