Here you leave the forest behind and enter the mountainous region of Städjän. At the tree line, you'll find many impressive trees that have withstood the elements for a long time.

Definitely. For us, the most beautiful mountain peak in Dalarna.

An atmospheric shelter/rest hut. In good weather, take advantage of the outdoor benches around a fireplace. Next to the hut a small stream flows providing a water source. There is also an emergency telephone in the hut.

Great place. You can go on great hikes from here and have an incredible view. Reindeer are always around.

In July, when the weather is good, make sure you go early - the later, the more people there are. Hiking poles are helpful, the paths are very wet, lots of stones and tree roots.

Please note: Do not go up from the parking lot. First follow the road further, then a dead-end street and in a sharp bend to the right, turn left onto planks (orange markings). Beautiful walk.

Weatherproof clothing is a must, a real weather kitchen.

Sturdy shoes are recommended for the ascent and hiking poles are also worth their weight in gold here. It is worth climbing all the way to the top of the summit; in summer this was possible without any problems. The ground is loose but with a little caution it is not a big obstacle.
