The Santa Espina Reservoir, also known as the Bajoz River Reservoir or Castromonte Swamp, is a small but interesting hydraulic structure located in the province of Valladolid. There are trails such as the "Senda del Pantano I," which starts from the nearby Monastery of Santa María de la Santa Espina.

Historical and spiritual treasure dating from the 12th century. The Cistercian monastery captivates with its mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The monastery is known for being a point of pilgrimage and for its charming natural environment, which invites reflection and tranquility.

Good trails to get here and nice views of the fields below with Valladolid in the distance.

This is an amazing and beautiful historical site. It is obtained from the relic relics that have been housed in one of its chapels for almost nine centuries.

You can see the Monastery of La Santa Espina through a triumphal arch from the s. XVI. The Monastery was built by Doña Sancha de Castilla, sister of Emperor Alfonso VII in 1147.

Reservoir in the course of the Bajoz river near the town of the same name. It was built in the 50s with the aim of irrigating the surrounding agricultural fields.

Sanctuary dating from the 12th century that receives its name because Luis the Younger gave away a thorn from the crown of our Lord. Like many others, this building was built at different times and underwent notable reforms.
