A legendary mountain pass in the Pyrenees. A crossing point between the Chistau and Benasque valleys, linking Sobrarbe and Ribagorza at an altitude of 2000m.

Access is via forest tracks in good condition. Obviously, to reach 2000m it takes a little time but the reward is worth it: the views are magnificent over the valleys and peaks at 360 degrees. A delight !

End of the track that reaches the La Besurta hut at 1,920 meters high and at the foot of Aneto and the Maladeta massif. La Besurta is open in the summer season and many walks can be done from this point in the valley, such as the Plan d'Aigualluts.

The Linsoles Reservoir is a small reservoir that is located very close to the town of Eriste, and where the waters of the Ésera river, coming from the Maladeta massif, come from.

The town of Benasque is located at the foot of the Posets and Maladeta massifs, in an immense valley and where the town reaches more than a thousand meters in height. The Bensaque valley is one of the best-known pubs in this part of the Pyrenees.

The Linsoles (or Eriste) Reservoir was built in the 1960s to collect the water channeled through the mountain to power the Eriste hydroelectric power station. It is one of the 3 reservoirs of the Ésera river in the Benasque valley.
