Eldgarnsö Nature Reserve offers a wonderfully peaceful loop around the island, with open meadows, ancient oaks, and constant views of Lake Mälaren — perfect for a slow, scenic walk in classic Swedish countryside. This information point lies at the entrance and provides helpful information such as toilet and rest place coordinates as well as a detailed map of the hiking trail. The View of Lake Mälaren from Görvälns Naturreservat is a breathtaking lookout over the lake, surrounded by forest trails, perfect for hiking, photography, or simply soaking in the serene Swedish landscape.

Svartsjö Castle, on Svartsjölandet island, has an elegant architecture which contrasts with the peaceful surroundings. Enjoy the historical atmosphere and beautiful views. It's a regal destination for a day's ride.

There are two walls made of piles of stones, delimiting a former viking settlement. There is an explanation sign (only swedish), and you can go through the walls to reach the view on the lake.

Nice resting spot with furniture, a fire pit and the possibility to take a swim. Even with only a relatively low number of mosquitos. :-)

The reserve is known for its ancient oak trees, some of which are centuries old. There are dozens of beautiful oaks around in this area.

Nice fireplace right next to Lillsjö friluftsgård

A couple of hundred meters off Lillsjö friluftsgård there is a smaller beach with a big sunbathing bench on a rock.

Small outdoor gym near lake Lillsjön. Quite close to the neighborhood and the beach.

Nice boardwalk to get trough this lush forest (with dry feet :-)). Cyclists must dismount and push their bikes.
