The church was built between the 17th and 18th centuries in the Mannerist and Baroque styles. Its design is inspired by the Church of the Gesù in Rome, designed by Jacopo Vignola. The building has a Latin cross plan, with side chapels and a transept inscribed in a rectangle. Its baroque bell tower and the largest dome in the region that is today the Valencian Community stand out. The interior ornamentation, the work of architect Juan Pérez Castiel, is magnificent and characteristic of its style. This church, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, is a treasure that deserves to be visited. In the municipality of Calles, Valencia - a few kilometers from this town - is the Puente Alta recreational area, a place surrounded by nature. The name of the recreational area is due to the old bridge, named Puente Alta, and located right next to the aforementioned area.

Tuéjar is a municipality in the province of Valencia, in the Valencian Community. It belongs to the Los Serranos region and has a population of 1,164 inhabitants. It is a municipality full of rural charm and beauty, to which you can escape in search of great hiking routes and walks through an old town with an interesting heritage. Highly recommended to visit the town center and discover the beautiful blue and white facades, so typical of the town, Tuéjar is incredibly photogenic! In the center itself we advise you to visit, in addition to its streets, the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Angels from the 17th century.

This is a perfect natural setting for a good rest during the route you are following. If the temperature is good, you can even take a bath in the river. There are fountains, a shelter and an area with tables and benches.
