Located in the center of three streams. There is sales documentation from the year 1840: “...at named site of the mills, which is the highest, and borders on all sides with lands of this town...”, of the 3 mills in the town, this was the one at the highest altitude (470 meters above sea level). Cañaveral is a Spanish town and municipality, located in the province of Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura. Just up the hill from Arco you will find the Church of the Virgin of the Assumption. It is a pretty and well maintained little church with views over the valley and the village.

Torrejoncillo is a small and charming typical Extremadura town with a nice square, small narrow streets and beautiful festivals.

The GR-113 runs through this pretty little town to the north of the Tagus River. The medieval temple of Santa Marina is an interesting place to visit during your stay.

Mirabel Castle was built in the 15th century on Cerro del Acero, which is why it is also known as the Peña del Acero castle. It is currently very deteriorated and only a few vestiges can be seen, such as a large brick vault and some walls.
