The Ciñera Beech Forest is a charming beech forest located between the towns of Villar del Puerto (Vegacervera) and Ciñera de Gordón. This forest is part of the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve and was recognized as the best forest in Spain in 2008.

The views from this hill are well worth a stop to enjoy a mountain landscape with a beautiful beech forest.

Good area with hardly any difficulty parallel to the Ciñera stream and it is perfect to go with the little ones.

Beautiful section that we find in the Faedo de Ciñera. Without a doubt, autumn is the best time to visit this place, when you can see them in all their splendor. The path here is easy and suitable for the whole family.

Located at 1,859 meters above sea level, Pico Bustillo offers us magnificent views of a large part of the Cantabrian Mountains. We must be careful with the last section to the top, since it is very stony and we can find some snowfields.

At this point we are on the other top of Mount Fontañán. From here you can see the other peak. Apart from some splendid views, around the Cruz de Fontañán we will see trenches, machine gun nests and tunnels used during the Spanish Civil War.
