Located in the Sierra de la Cruz not far from the Ermita de la Sierra de la Cruz in Piedrabuena, it is worth the climb for the excellent views.

Park opened a few days ago in tribute to the victims of the Covid pandemic and in recognition of all the services that showed their “strength, courage and professionalism” in those hard months. The park, called “Covid Park”, is located next to the walls of the Municipal Cemetery, on Sol Street, as an extension of the Antonio Gascón Park. The main sculpture of the park, made of iron and steel, represents swallows and has been donated by the head of the Architecture service of the City Council of Ciudad Real, Emilio Velado. In addition, the park includes a pipi can and a bicycle lane. I hope that this space will be a place of future and hope for the people of Ciudad Real. 😊

Located in Maiyor Square next to the Town Hall. It is a Neoclassical style construction. Among the construction materials, brick predominates, and of course volcanic stone, and the metal covers of the towers stand out. Everything is very nice in general.

It is located southwest of the town, nestled at the summit of the mountain range that gives it its name, 3km from Piedrabuena and 791m high. From this viewpoint you can see the town and surrounding areas, such as the Piedrabuena volcano. An important monument that we find in the place is the Sierra de la Cruz Hermitage, built at the end of the 19th century. Every May 3, the Piedrabuena pilgrimage is celebrated on this hill.
