the "summit" of Aitana - this is the accessible summit, just 9 meters lower than the actual summit, which is situated within the military base. The views on clear days are phenomenal from here. Benidorm and beyond as far as Mallorca and in the other direction as far as the Sierra de Espuña

This is a passage with two very short chain-insured sections. One route leads between a crevice in the rock. The chain can be helpful when climbing to pull yourself up. On the other route, a narrow path leads over coarser scree, so you don't really need the chain. Viewed from above, it looks worse than it is.

It is a picnic area located right at the foot of Aitana Peak. If you need to refill your bottles, there is a drinking water source. In addition, a barbecue area and picnic tables. Without a doubt, an ideal place to stop along the way.
