The Fuente de la Salud (Health Fountain) in Olba (Teruel) is a charming natural spot, highly valued by hikers and visitors seeking tranquility, nature, and pure water. It is a natural spring located in a wooded setting next to the Mijares River, surrounded by native vegetation. It is part of a highly accessible circular hiking route, ideal for all fitness levels. The spring's water is known for its purity and freshness, and has traditionally been attributed with health-giving properties.

The Hoz del Río Mijares in San Agustín (Teruel) is a stunning natural setting located in the Gúdar-Javalambre region, ideal for lovers of hiking, geology, and spectacular landscapes.

Beautiful village with wonderful bathing spots

The Chillapájaros Straits owe their name to the echoes of the birds that inhabit the rocky area, also known as the Mijares Canyon, which is an impressive limestone cut caused by a fault, patiently filed and excavated by the surface runoff of the Mijares River. Here the river bed passes through a deep gorge, two walls more than a hundred meters high in a vertical drop, in a passage about twenty-five meters wide. The road accompanies the river at different heights, approximately 40 m in elevation. The perspectives of this formidable gorge, of its cliffs, can be seen through two large “balconies”, built inside a tunnel that opens the way to the Mijares highway. Later, the viewpoints mentioned above were incorporated. From all of them, you can see the pronounced escarpments carved by the Mijares, whose rocky walls are the destination of numerous climbers throughout the year.

When passing along the road that goes from the highway from Teruel to Olba, a couple of kilometers before this town, an aqueduct appears on a curve, just in front of the start of the road that leads to the village of Los Ramones. There is an information panel and from there a short path starts that leads to the fountain of the same name. The fountain, small and discreet, is on the left bank of the Rubielos River, which upstream from the fountain is enclosed forming narrow narrows.

There is a hiking route called “Las Hoces del Mijares” that you can explore. It is approximately 10.24 km long and offers stunning views.
