매력적인 역사 지구를 갖춘 아름다운 산악 도시입니다. 접근하는 길은 꽤 가파르지만, 발견할 것이 많고 멋진 바와 레스토랑이 있습니다.

Morella Castle rises atop the "Mola" rock, dominating the landscape with its walls and towers that tell centuries of history. It was occupied by Iberians, Romans, Muslims, and Christians, and its walls commemorate battles of El Cid, the War of Spanish Succession, and the Carlist Wars. The tour takes in the main square, the Governor's Palace, ancient cisterns, and the keep, with spectacular views over a sea of mountains and the reddish roofs of the town. Access is from the Convent of San Francisco, and it's worth taking your time, as the steep ramps and stairs require an effort that is well rewarded by the panoramic views.

The covered walkways and the many small shops and restaurants invite you to stroll and enjoy yourself. Just be sure to check in advance for closing days during the off-season, as fewer shops may be open then.

Entrance fee is 3 euros (with a concession 2.5 euros).

If you drive from Vinaros along the country road to Morella, you can stop briefly at the petrol station down in the village and look at the whole panorama or take photos.

Flaons are the city's specialty. The blueberry ones are especially delicious.

The Archpriestal Basilica of Santa Maria la Mayor, located in Morella, is a jewel of Mediterranean Gothic. Its construction began in the 13th century, during the transition from Romanesque to Gothic. The basilica also houses a museum with a permanent exhibition showcasing the historical and artistic legacy of the region.

Known for its rich history and medieval architecture, Morella is crowned by an imposing castle that offers spectacular panoramic views. Its cobbled streets, ancient walls and historic buildings create a unique atmosphere that transports visitors to another era.
