Easy enough way up onto the ridge

Worth a visit this time of year as it’s nice and warm with good beer, coffee & food open every lunch time 🥲

Stiperstones village is in the heart of the sprawling Shropshire Hills AONB. This is a quaint attractive standalone village with few amenities but is in a gloriously hilly setting.

Snailbeach mine is a disused narrow gauge railway line that used to serve the local lead mine. It ran for 82 years, with traffic on the railway continuing until 1959. The mine has some old sidings still in place and the old locomotive shed is still there.

Great food and lovely staff. We also parked here for our hike and end it with lunch at the pub

Friendly, popular pub with lots of outdoor seating - perfect for post run socialising/refuelling. Morning coffee, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner. Food served 0900-1200 daily.

Lovely pub with real ale and good food. Great place to start a walk onto the end of the Stiperstones ridge.

Wonderful climb, road is quiet and has amazing views.

Wonderful classic Youth Hostal, one of the early ones from way back in the 1930. It has unique features, whilst the bedrooms have been updated the rest of the building is out of a timewarp, this is your Grandfathers Youth Hostel! And it's glorious.

Nice place to grab a pint and something to eat if you are in the area. plenty of benches outside if the weather is favourable.

Paying for parking is voluntary - you can make a 'donation' through a parking app.

For me Stiperstone village was half way round on my circuit so the village was a nice place to get a pint before the last leg.

Good little pub and there is a great little oldie world type of shop right next door.

Nice little village to start a walk up to Stiperstones and beyond. Only a few parking spots so get in early.

Perfect before and after stop.. Before for any last minute supplies, and after for a good meal and a beer 😁

Formerly the Horseshoe Inn, the Bridges is a much-loved hiker-friendly pub in the little village of Bridges. Lying between the Long Mynd and Stiperstones, the pub is an excellent stopping off point when walking in the area. Offering rooms as well as good pub fare, despite a change of hands, the Bridges has retained its excellent reputation.
