Col Burriegeta, also known as Puerto de Ibañeta, is a historic mountain pass in the Pyrenees, located between France and Spain. The pass is best known for its role in the Camino de Santiago, where pilgrims cross the border on their way to Santiago de Compostela1. The pass offers breathtaking views and is home to the modern chapel of San Salvador, which replaced an older chapel, and a monument to Roland, which commemorates the Battle of Roncesvalles in 778. Col Burriegeta is an important passage for both pilgrims and cyclists, who enjoy the challenging climb and the beautiful surroundings.

The Irabia Dam, also known as the Irati Dam, was built on the bed of the Irati River. It is located within the Protected Area of Roncesvalles and Sierra de Irati, a dense forest that offers a wide variety of alternative trails to enjoy a beautiful landscape.

Simply wonderful! A unique place with incredible panoramic views of the entire Irati River valley and beyond. It is a very picturesque and photogenic place in itself, just be careful to take the classic photo sitting on the top of the cliff, you have come all the way to enjoy the views, do not take unnecessary risks.

The Collado de Burregieta offers wonderful views from its 1441 meters above sea level. You can get there from Puerto de Ibañeta or from Orreaga/Roncesvalle along picturesque paths or combine both and take a circular route.
