Enciso has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO because 3,000 dinosaur footprints have been found here. This paleo-adventure park shows you interactively how these prehistoric animals lived millions of years ago. It also has swimming pools, geysers, adventure circuits, a climbing wall, a restaurant and two cafeterias.

Enciso is located in a mountainous area of the Iberian system and is crossed by the Cidacos River. In the town there are more than 3,000 dinosaur footprints and it has a paleontological center with information on how they were formed.

Munilla is located at the foot of the Sierras de la Hez, Hayedo de Santiago and Cameros Viejos. It is famous for the many footprint sites found in its vicinity (around 900). The most important are those of "Peñaportillo" and "La Canal", which are 2 kilometers from Munilla and are easily accessible.

Many of the towns and villages in the Camero Viejo region still preserve their meadows today. Long ago, the pastures were very important for these rural areas where cattle were the main source of wealth. Unfortunately, today only a few have been well preserved to walk inside. Luckily, the San Román pasture meets that requirement and exploring it is a delight.

Small town located on the banks of the Cidacos River, at an altitude of 813 meters. Known during the 17th and 18th centuries for its important textile industry, it is now a tourist attraction for many, due to the finds of numerous dinosaur footprints from more than 120 million years ago.

The population of Enciso is a nucleus that is in the old middle of the Iberian System, right where the Sierras del Hayedo de Santiago and the Sierra de San Cristóbal begin/end, through which the Río Cidacos passes.

The economy of Cameros has been based for centuries on livestock. The need for pasture caused the deforestation of the entire area. Only the dehesas of the towns were saved from this practice, some forest redoubts dedicated to the exploitation of wood for firewood and other forest uses. The dehesa of San Román de Cameros is dominated by oak, although there are other species. It is not a "reserve" of a forest, but an adaptation of the forest to the needs of the population. Even so, it is part of the biosphere reserve that is this area.
