The Castle of the Dukes of Frías was declared a Site of Cultural Interest on April 22, 1949. It is situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the town and almost the entire Tobalina Valley. The oldest surviving remains date from the late 12th and early 13th centuries, but most of what remains is from the 15th century. Visitors can explore the large parade ground, part of the curtain wall, and the rampart walk, and climb the keep. Opening hours are daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the entrance fee is €2.

The Tartalés de los Montes road is one of those that creates a fondness for cycling. The ascent is narrow and twisty, sticking to the limestone wall. In one of the points is the beautiful waterfall that falls between the rocks.

Frías is one of the most beautiful towns in Burgos as it is located at the top of a hill. The church and a large number of houses rise and can be seen on your arrival.

To the Northeast of Burgos is the city of Frías and on the Ebro river, we find the impressive fortified Bridge of Frías. The base of the bridge and the cutwaters are from Roman times and the Roman road crossed it, a communication route for trade between the Meseta and the Cantabrian coast.

It has no exit, it ends in the town of Tartales.
