After a major town fire in 1702, the gate was rebuilt with some structural modifications. From 1976 to 1991, it housed the Tribsees Local History Museum (a small local history museum), which later moved to the Stone Gate and finally to another building in 2007.

Here at the lower end of the stream valley is a large biotope with lots of reeds and dead trees standing in the water. Very beautiful, one of the highlights of this trail.

There is also a charging station for e-bikes in front of the church.

Fieldstone church with a square choir dating from the 13th century. The square west tower dates from 1597. Inside, Nazarene wall and ceiling paintings by C. J. Milde. The altarpiece and lectern baptismal angel by Elias Keßler date from the early 18th century. Key available in the rectory.

Well-rolling concrete surface

Currently (Christmas 2024) you can't get to the other side with dry feet 🙈 It's possible with waterproof shoes or rubber boots, or you can take off your shoes and socks.

Small, pretty market square, with depictions of the area's history at the fountain - very cutely done in my opinion.
