The BA-050, also known as the Anchuras road, crosses the upper reaches of Cabañeros National Park along the Estena River basin. It traverses ridges and rocky outcrops dominated by Mediterranean forest, with alternating holm oaks, cork oaks, and gall oaks. The road crosses the upper course of the Estena River, allowing drivers to enjoy the riverbed through pine and oak forests without leaving the main road.

The Vía Verde de la Jara, which passes through Aldeanueva de Barbarroya, is one of the most spectacular routes in central Spain. Length: Approximately 52 km between Calera y Chozas and the abandoned Santa Quiteria train station. Origin: Former railway line that never became operational. Difficulty: Easy, with hardly any inclines, ideal for hiking and cycle touring. Surface: Compacted earth, suitable for mountain biking or gravel bikes. Access: Calera y Chozas, Aldeanueva de Barbarroya, Campillo-Señor.

Laguna de la Raña is a very interesting natural area in the Horcajo de los Montes area (Montes de Toledo), within the Cabañeros National Park. This seasonal lagoon fills up during the rainy season and can dry up in summer. It's a popular spot for wintering and migratory birds, and large birds of prey fly over Cabañeros National Park (such as the Spanish imperial eagle and the black vulture).

The Estena River Bridge, located near the BA-050 highway, near Cabañeros National Park, is a very special place due to its natural and geological setting. It is an access point to the Estena River, considered one of the cleanest rivers in Spain. About 300 meters upstream from the bridge is El Pilón, a natural pool formed by water that has eroded the vertical slates, creating natural basins ideal for swimming. The surrounding area is notable for its unique geological formations, Mediterranean vegetation, and crystal-clear waters.

An attractive route along the banks of the Estena River, a beautifully preserved riverbed. Besides the stunning scenery, you can admire typical Mediterranean vegetation (holm oaks, cork oaks, gall oaks, rock roses, etc.), riparian vegetation (ash, willows, etc.), northern trees such as yew and birch, remarkable geological formations created by erosion, and traces of the periods when this area was covered by the sea more than 400 million years ago, such as those of a giant sea worm. It is considered a Site of Geological Interest (geosite).
