With its red battlements, the water tower looks like a fortress tower.

The former customs station was converted into a park around 1997. The peninsula can be described as unique. With views of the Elbe bridges and the HafenCity to the west, and the industrial backdrops on the southern and eastern banks of the Elbe, its location on the Elbe River is particularly enchanting. Since only inland waterways can travel on this stretch of the Elbe, you can sometimes imagine yourself on the Rhine or Danube, with your feet dangling in the dark gray-blue water.

Documents prove that this charming half-timbered house with its carvings was built in 1573. Currently, the house houses an ice cream parlor, which invites you to linger simply because of its ambiance.
