A wonderful little freight depot, tucked away behind the Raiffeisen Markt market in Lippborg, by the bridge over the Lippe River. From here, a bike path leads up to the power plant, continuing on into Hamm.

To the southeast of the cathedral and the cloister is a smaller two-aisled chapel. It was once thought that it was built around 1200 by merchants from the Hanseatic city of Soest in the shape of a cog. Today we know that it was a provost who had the chapel built. The Nikolai Chapel was intended to be a memorial chapel. But the assumption that the merchants said goodbye to their relatives there before their long trading trips and sought the protection of their patron, Saint Nicholas, is perhaps more than just a nice idea.
