San Pedro de la Rúa is a beautiful historic church located in the heart of the medieval town of Estella-Lizarra, along the famous Camino de Santiago. Built in the 12th century, this church is a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture. Its most striking feature is the cloister, considered one of the richest sculptural ensembles in Navarra. The church itself is imposing and exudes a serene tranquility. Inside you will find beautiful vaults and historical works of art that reflect the rich history of the region. San Pedro de la Rúa’s location, high above the town, offers magnificent views over Estella and the surrounding landscapes.

Not far from the palace is the 12th/13th century. The church of San Pedro de la Rua was built in the 19th century and is probably the most important church in the city. The Romanesque portal and the remains of the cloister are interesting here.

Visiting hours are complicated. Ask, and if you can, visit it. The cloister is impressive. It can be seen from the outside, without going in, going up an elevator.

It is the main church of the town of Estella-Lizarra since 1256 and is located right next to the Camino de Santiago Frances. There are indications of its construction around the end of the 12th century, but it is believed that it possibly existed even before that time.

It is without a doubt the top to visit if you are walking through the Iratxe area. With an altitude of 1045 meters above sea level. the views are impressive and you can enjoy a beautiful landscape. It is next to the San Cipriano and towards the opposite side is the geodesic vertex of the same name. A place worth visiting!

With its top at 1042 meters above sea level. San Cipriano is next to Montejurra one of the most important and visited peaks in the area and from where you will have beautiful views. You can get there by picturesque paths from the town of Iratxe on a very colorful circular route.

The Church of San Pedro de la Rúa in Estella (Navarra) is located opposite the Gustavo de Maeztu Museum, where a staircase leads to the portal of this monument, known as San Pedro el Mayor since the 13th century. It is mentioned as a parish church in 1174, although it is possible that it existed before that. In 1256 it received the title of the main church of the city (Wikipedia).
